The MELA Mask is a high-performance at-home peel designed to effectively treat various forms of hyperpigmentation, including melasma, chloasma, UV-induced pigmentation, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, solar lentigines, and freckles. As one of pHformula’s most active formulations, it delivers visible results in brightening dull, uneven skin tone.
Powered by a clay-based delivery system, the mask ensures rapid and even penetration of potent active ingredients. It works by inhibiting the tyrosinase enzyme—a key trigger in melanin production—while stimulating the growth of healthy, new skin cells.
Directions
- Apply a thin layer of the MELA mask to a clean, dry skin
- Leave on for 5 minutes (mild temporary tingling is normal)
- Gently cleanse the skin with the EXFO cleanse to remove all traces of the mask and pat dry (if severe irritation develops during the 5 minutes cleanse the skin with the EXFO cleanse immediately, pat dry and moisturise)
- For more skin activity and if the skin can tolerate apply a second even layer after 5 minutes and leave on for 10 minutes
- Gently cleanse the skin with the EXFO cleanse to remove all traces of the mask and pat dry.
- Use once every 3 weeks for a mild skin activity and once per week for more skin activity
NOTE: This product may increase skin’s sensitivity to the sun and the possibility of sunburn. Apply high quality, broad spectrum SPF and limit sun exposure while using this product

Pro tip
To give your hands a home resurfacing, antiaging treatment, apply a thick layer to the top of your hands and wrap them in cling wrap or in plastic gloves for 15 - 20 minutes.
